I Took Part in Medium's Draft Day 2025!
Does that mean I'm still part of the team?
When I think about just how committed I am to my role as a member and writer on the Medium platform, I have to confess that technically, I guess I’m still part of the team.
It’s not because I agree or condone many of the policy changes and other transitions that have occurred this month, because I don’t.
But basically, I’ve come to the conclusion that there are some things I can do something about, and there are some things I can’t.
So instead of wasting time on what I can’t control, I’m back to figuring out how to take advantage of the things that are still within my power.
If you want a full breakdown of how I explain myself to my existing Medium followers, I welcome you to read these two important stories:
I’m Starting to Mend Fences and Reach Out to All My Friends!
Hooray! It’s My 🎂 Birthday and Also My Membership Anniversary Again
In the story about my birthday, I state my case for why I want to see “the band get back together again” on Medium.
But those aren’t the stories that I wrote and published with Draft Day 2025 in mind. The story I chose as a form of participation for this online event, was:
I felt like this was a very fitting topic to direct attention to (On the rare chance that I happen to get some extra eyes on the story). But apart from that, I wanted to take the opportunity to bring out the value of “synergy”, as it relates to bridging all your online content.
Final Words
Whether or not you consider yourself to be a Medium team player or not, if you happen to have stories still hosted on the site, I invite you to read and discover more about the publication I’ll be launching soon.
The whole focus of my new “Bridging Content“ publication on Medium, is to help writers like myself, PROMOTE, ADVERTISE, and MARKET all their existing content, no matter where they offer it online.
